The Huawei Nova 7 series has been in leaks and rumors for several weeks, and now Huwaei finally unveiled the Nova 7 series in China. The Huawei Nova 7 series comprises three models that are Huawei Nova 7, Huawei Nova 7 Pro, and Huawei Nova 7 SE, among the three Nova 7 SE is the budget-friendly device. They also have 64 megapixels main camera with 4000 mAh battery, support for the 40W fast charging, and 5G compatibility. The main difference between the three phones is that of the display and the chipset. The Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro comes with the Huawei’s inbuilt flagship chipset kirin 985 while the Nova 7 SE packs a Kirin 820 chipset which is built for the affordable smartphones.
Nova 7 Pro & Nova 7:
Display:
The Huawei Nova 7 Pro comes in 6.57 inches curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution. The screen has 1080*2340 pixels and the pixels density of 392 pixels per inch. Nova 7 Pro has a screen to body ratio of 89.6% and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. While the Huawei Nova 7 is built around 6.53 inches curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution. The screen has 1080*2400 pixels and the pixels density of 403 pixels per inch. Nova 7 Pro has a screen to body ratio of 86.3% and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
Internals:
Huawei Nova 7 Pro and Nova 7 are powered by Huawei’s inbuilt flagship HI Silicon Kirin 985 chipset which is based on 7nm architecture. There are two variants that are 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 3.0 storage or 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. There is no expandable storage option.
Cameras of Nova 7 Pro and Nova 7:
A vertical quad camera setup in the back of Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro. There are 64 megapixels f/1.8 main sensor with 8 megapixels f/2.4 telephoto lens with 5X Optical Zoom (3X Optical zoom on Nova 7), 8 megapixels f/2.4 ultra-wide lens and 2 megapixels f/2,4 macro lens. On Nova 7 Pro there are dual selfie shooter sits in a pill shape cutout on the screen with 32 megapixels f/2.2 main lens and 8 megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide lens while on Nova 7 there is selfie shooter that sits in a hole-punch cutout on the screen with 32 megapixels f/2.2 main lens for the selfies.

Display:
The Huawei Nova 7 SE is built around 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. The screen has 1080*2400 pixels and the pixels density of 405 pixels per inch. Nova 7 Pro has a screen to body ratio of 86.3% and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
Internals:
Huawei Nova 7 is powered by Huawei’s inbuild HiSilicon Kirin 820 chipset which is based on 7nm architecture. There are two variants that are 8Gb RAM and 128GB UFS 3.0 storage or 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. Huawei also added a Nano Memory card option that can support up to 256GB of expandable storage. You can use either two sim cards or one sim card and a nano memory card for storage expansion.
Cameras:
There are five cameras on the phones. Straight inline four-camera setup at the rear and on the front, a single selfie shooter. On the rear side, there are 64 megapixels f/1.8 main sensor with 8 megapixels f/2.4ultrawide lens, 2 megapixels f/2.4 macro lens, and 2 megapixels f/2,4 lens for depth. The selfie shooter sits in a hole-punch cutout on the screen with a 16 megapixels f/2.0 main lens for the selfies.
Battery of Huawei Nova 7 series:
The Huawei Nova 7 series contains 4000mAh non-removable battery that can support 40W fast charging via Type-C and a 5W reverse wireless charging.
Additional features:
Huawei Nova 7 series comes with Android 10 on top of EMUI Huawei Mobile System (HMS) and no Google play service. The Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro have an under-display optical fingerprint scanner while the Nova 7 SE has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Other than that they also have an accelerometer, gyro sensor, proximity sensor. As discussed above all the phones have support for the 5G. All the phones are available in multiple color options i.e. Black, Purple, Green, and Blue.
Pricing and availability:
Nova 7 Pro starts at $522 for the 8/128GB variant and $580 for 8/256GB variant, Nova 7 starts at $425 for 8/128GB variant and $480 for 8/256GB variant while the Nova 7 SE starts at $340 for 8/128GB and $395 for 8/256GB variant.
The phones are already up for pre-orders in China while the Official sales start on 28th April 2020.
