As the global pandemic of COVID-19 is being under control in China and the lives are back to normal, there are few new releases by the smartphone manufacturers in China. Over the past two weeks, the major OEMs included Huawei, Xiaomi, and Oppo comes with the new offering for the Chinese markets. Lets talk about the latest Oppo A92s.
Oppo comes with another new release of Oppo A92s after the last week’s launch of Oppo Ace 2, in the Chinese market as the phone is being listed on Oppo’s China website. There have been rumors that the Oppo A92s is the first Mid-range phone to come with 5G capabilities and the 120 Hz Higher refresh rate display and now the Oppo has confirmed these rumors by listing its A92s on the Oppo’s China website. The website gives the pricing and the few specifications for the phone such as a rear Quad Camera setup and a 12o Hz Display.

Specifications of Oppo A92s
Display and Design:
Oppo A92s is the first mid-range phone that comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate display. The front of the phone has a 6.57 inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080*2400 pixels with a 440 pixels per inch density and a screen to body ratio of 84.3%. The screen has a pill shape cut out on the right side just like the Samsun S10+ which houses the dual selfie shooter. This also made Oppo A92s the cheapest phone to come with 5G and the 120 Hz refresh rate display. The screen has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The phone is made up of a plastic frame with a plastic back and a glass front. The phone’s weight is around 184g and due to the plastic body, the phone doesn’t seem to much heavy.
Internals:
The phone comes with the latest MediaTek MT6873V Dimensity 800 series Chipset which is built on 7nm architecture. The MediaTek announced the 5G powered Dimensity 800 Series chipset early this year which is designed for mid-range smartphones. The chipset is an Octa-core processor which has a clock speed of 2GHz.
The phone comes with two options. You can either go for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage or you can go with the 8GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage. There is a dedicated slot for the MicroSD card so you can expand your storage if needed.
Camera Setup:
The Oppo A92s comes with six cameras. There is a quad-camera setup at the back and the two lens selfie shooter at the front. The quad-camera comes with a square shapes module with the additional pill-shaped outline inside the camera module for the better look.
The quad-camera setup includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture with 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide sensor, 2MP f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2MP f2.4 lens for the depth sensor. The camera module also includes a LED flash. On the video end, the Oppo A92s can record both 1080p and 2160p at 30 frames per second.
Just like the Samsung S10+, the Oppo A92s comes with a pill-shaped cut-out on the screen for the dual selfie camera. The main lens is 16 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 2 megapixels f/2.4 lens for depth sensor. The selfie cameras can record videos only at 1080p at 30 frames per second.
Oppo A92s Price & Battery:
The Oppo A92s comes with the 4000mAh battery pack with the additional support of 18 W fast charging via USB Type-C port.
Oppo doesn’t reveal the price for the Pakistani market but it is expected that the Oppo A92s will be priced at PKR 69,999. The phone will be available soon in the Pakistani Market but will be available for sale in China on 29th April 2020.
Additional Features:
The Oppo A92s comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. It also includes the accelerometer, gyro sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack. The device is available in whisper white, 90-degree black color option.
